Insomnia is the worst! I’ve been there, so I know. When you can’t get enough sleep through the night, and you’re feeling absolutely miserable every day, you’ll be desperate to find a solution. Thankfully, there are some natural remedies that I have found to be very helpful.
Music Can Help Sleep
First up is music. I found that soothing music at bedtime was really helpful in signaling to my body and mind that it was time to slow down. Choose music that you like, making sure it includes soft instrumentation and a slow and steady beat. And, in addition to music, I have even found that listening to people talk is soothing enough to help me fall asleep more easily. I’ll turn on a favorite podcast and just focus on what they are saying until I drift off to sleep. This is really helpful during those nights when my mind is racing and I need to stop all of the thoughts from keeping me up all night!
What You Eat Has A Big Impact On Sleep
Certain foods eaten in the evening or a little while before bed might help you fall asleep more easily, too. Try almonds, cherries, whole grain crackers, and bananas. You could also try a warm caffeine-free herbal tea like chamomile tea to help soothe you into a state of rest.
Natural Sleep Supplements
Finally, there are over-the-counter natural sleep supplements that are worth considering, provided that they contain natural ingredients. For example, you can check out products like ZIESTA Nighttime Sleep Aid, whose ingredients include magnesium, valerian, hops, melatonin, and passionflower.
